The 1st of December

Was a very Important day for me. Not only did it mark the start of this year’s Dressember edition, it is also the last day of the “regular” shoes to save (from now on it’s special shoes and boots) and last but not least it also the day we signed the purchase deed for our house.
This is officially my first shoe save as a home owner!

For the occasion I wore my polka dot L&L dress with my new P.I.U.R.E. shoes.

And just to add that little extra I chose this lovely pair of Veneziana tights

Dressember 2011

In less than a week the 2012 edition of Dressember starts and I’m really looking forward to participate again. As a dresses and skirts kinda girl (I own only 4 pairs of trousers) wearing a dress every day is not such a challenge. It’s the getting a picture taken every that is the biggest challenge.

I already warned my partner that either he gives me that tips and tricks to work with the camera lesson he promised me back in february or he’ll be responsible for taking my picture daily.

In the mean time I’ve been preparing by investing in tights and long sleeves to make some of my summer dresses winter proof; and I did a quick count of the dresses and tunics that should be suitable for wear in December and came up with a count of 22.

Everybody, Everywear

I can’t really remember when and how my attention was directed towards Everybody, Everywear, but I liked the concept immediately and even though this would have been the first time I was able to participate (because of a lack of DIY capabilities and coloured pants), I have enjoyed browsing the galleries of the past themes and getting new ideas of how I could “restyle” some of my favourite items (also know as, wear and combine what I have in different ways).
I said would have been, since Murphy reared his ugly head and boycotted me all the way: the battery of my camera turned out to be dead, couldn’t find my partner’s camera and had to wait till he was home from a work related meeting in Amsterdam, when we finally managed to take a picture my portable crashed upon uploading the photograph and I wasn’t able to do the upload on my partner’s pc since we couldn’t find the cable for his camera.

Since I managed the upload of the photo in the end, I’m putting it on here anyway and I’ll hope I’ll just have better luck with the next challenge 😉

For the coloured thights edition I went for 2 of my favourite colours: black and purple. Combining an LBD I bought this summer with a basic purple longsleeve and (almost) matching purple tights.
The shoes are from my favourite brand Tamaris.

Unlike some fashion lovers I’m not really a big fan of winter and tights, I prefer summer and strappy sandals, but since I’m not a bear and as such don’t hibernate, I do need them to be able to wear all my lovely dresses.
So when I saw this Veneziana sale on one of the online outlet stores that I signed up for I couldn’t help myself and bought 4 pairs, of which one pair of leopard print tights.
