Swishing

Since about a year and a halve I’m regularly attending Brussels girlgeek dinner events. Their 41st edition on Wednesday was all about swishing.
As explained on Wikipedia:

Swishing refers to swapping an item or items of clothing or shoes or an accessory with friends or acquaintances. Parties must willingly give an item to participate in the transaction, once they have given an item they are free to choose something of interest from what others have offered.

This particular event was organised by swishing.be and had, in addition to the swishing fun, yummie food and drinks, a small market place with eco products (handbags from recycled materials, bio make-up,…) and a goodie bag which held both vouchers for most of the goods of the market place and the new Pantène Aqua Light shampoo. The one that that makes your hair swissssh.

I had taken three items with me, a way to big cache-coeur that I got from a colleague who bought it and then never wore it, a purple blouse with a perfect fit except for the fact that I couldn’t fit my boobs in it and a fuchsia top that someone convinced me to buy and I was never really convinded about.
After they had been checked, I received labels which were meant to go around the items you liked and wanted to take home after the fitting round. Any clothes with more than one label on it, would then be subject of a raffle.
Right from the start there was a skirt that caught my eye, of which the colour, the cut and the fabric we’re all really me.
Lucky me, it was my size and I was the only one really interessted in it, so I go to take it home.
A second round was held and there I discovered a nice black blouse, but this time I wasn’t the only one interested and in the end it went to my opponent.

I was so happy with the skirt that I immediately wore it to work at the same time saving my black Linea Loresi court shoes. The ones i bought to replace 14 year old my prom shoes.
